DODDERERS TOUCH RUGBY FOOTBALL CLUB
 The name says it all!

We are a bunch of (im)mature rugby lovers, some of whom have played
the real stuff (and some still do), who enjoy a Sunday morning run out to
shake off the hangover from Saturday night. Rather than get muddy and
bruised, we play touch rugby - non contact - fast, furious and great for the
elderly and infirm. Our ages range from 12 - 60+ (with most at the upper
 end of the scale!!

Our club was formed in 2003 to celebrate the winning of the Rugby World
Cup by England, so Dodderers Day is celebrated every year on (or near to)
November 22nd. It's basically an excuse for a Lad's night out (or a
"Gentleman's Evening" to our WAGS!) See Events

Touch (as it is called "down under") is a growing sport in the UK - with
organised leagues and a World Cup Tournament of its own! Check out the
website of the Federation of International Touch or UK based sites at:
 englandtouchrugby or in2touch or walestouch.

Read about the Evolution of Touch and check out the entries on Wikipedia
for Touch Rugby and the Aussie's "Touch Footy".
Also check out the QUICK RULES or the FULL RULES.

You are most welcome to join us - just turn up any Sunday morning at 8
a.m. (for directions see Location). Previous experience not necessary
 - you will need footwear with good grip and a sense of humour!
Drop an e-mail to the webmaster if you wish further details.

APPROACHING FORTY!

As winter weather approaches, all Dodderers should read this wonderful poem - adapted from an original by Irish poet Dermot Bolger, courtesy of the Marlay Park Tipsters, based in Dublin. It explains very eloquently "why we do it"!
