Lions at the Magpies, June 25th 2005

Before the First Test of the Lions Tour to New Zealand,  there was a "warm up" game featuring Dods Lions v Dods All Blacks.   Afterwards it was back to watch the game on the big screen at Standish Village Hall, with bacon sarnies prepared by the "Dods Widows" !
BACK to 2005 Events
Now this is the team that would have won the series. Sir Clive, why didn't you listen?
Early optimism - Jonny kicks a penalty.....
....only for the Lions to lose 21-3. The crowd walks out leaving Lenny deflated and Roly Foster looking (understandably) shell shocked.......         The Lions lost the series 3 - 0.
